It's been too long!

I've finally decided to write a new post after thinking about it for the last 3 months but never quite getting there. It's terrible I feel guilty for not doing them because I want this to be something the boys can read later when they've grown into men which I hope will be really special for them.

We've just had a lovely weekend with my parents coming to visit to have our christmas with them as they'll be heading over to my sisters new house for christmas day. The boys love having them visit. They also got to start their christmas present opening and love what they got. Enough to keep them entertained for the week. We had a lovely day out at Speers Point parkland yesterday. It is really an amazing park and has so much for the kids to do. Dad says it's the best park he's ever seen. Lucky for us we live very close. We will head there again for Luca's 1st b'day.

So what's been happening then in the last three months. The boys are all growing up very quickly. Lucas is crawling everywhere and getting very quick. His cheekiness is coming out and when I try and grab him for a nappy he'll crawl away quickly and look back at me and smile. He's also been doing this very funny face squinting his face up. Makes us laugh everytime! He's been sick alot in the past month and half which was very tiring. Two ear infections plus teething makes for trying times. Lucas is eating well and some nights sleeping through. The last two nights he has. I think because he is finally not sick or teething at the moment. Greatfully I have had a very good nights sleep last night. I needed it after having two nights before with not much sleep at all. He's also started saying Mum alot. It's been Dadda for so long now. It's nice hearing him say Mum. It will be Lucas's first christmas this week which is exciting. Then not long after his 1st birthday. REally can't believe he is nearly one. It has gone so quickly. Before I know it I won't have a baby anymore. First for me for a long time. I wonder how I'll feel. Maybe relief but I really do enjoy them when they're babies. Everything is precious they're really quite delightful. I think i'll enjoy abit more freedom back though.

William has grown alot too in the last 6mths going from a toddler into more of a boy. Talking very well and saying very funny things. Other morning in out bed we were talking about christmas and Will said I want christmas time I said I know you do he's taking awhile isn't he Will said I don't like Santa anymore. It was quite funny. Jack and Will are great little mates playing everything together. It's so great they have that little playmate and soon they'll have three of them once Lucas can interact more. They still fight alot over things which is normal but overall they play well together. I can tell they'll have a great relationship when they're older. Well I hope. I think Lucas and Jack will too they seem to bond quite well whereas at the moment William doesn't like Lucas. We know this because he tells us. It's just that jelousy thing whereas Jack doesn't get jelous of him. Will is now starting to use the toilet he pretty much started this on his own wanting to copy Jack. Sometimes he'll go off when he knows he needs to go other times not so great luckily this carpet is cheap. This christmas for Will is going to be good because he's older and understands more.

Jack is now very much a boy. He recently had his 4th birthday. I took the boys to an indoor playcentre for the actual day. That was alot for me because i hadn't taken them there on my own before but it was fine they had a great day and I got to sit and have a nice lunch which doesn't happen too often. Unfortunately the weather wasn't too good on the weekend of his birthday so we didn't end up doing what we'd planned but the weekend before I took the boys to Sydney for a few days and Jack had abit of a party at my Mums.
Jack is going well at preschool and still really enjoys going and playing with his little friends. He seems to have a couple of best friends. One of them Max is very cute. It's a shame we are not wanting to send Jack to a school in this area where he could go to big school with the same friends I think it would help. He'll definately miss them. He's still got one more year though till then.
Jack's latest thing is he wants to be first at everything. Wants me to give his food first, get him out of bath first etc etc. Think this started from preschool.

We've had weekends going to the beach together which has been really nice. Unfortunately we haven't had alot of hot weather though. Hoping next month we get to utilise living so close to the beach now. The boys love going and Jack is slowly getting his confidence up in the water.

We also had a camping trip away to Budgewoi in October. It started off not so great with a big storm and torrential rain which had us coming home for a night then going back down to clean everything up. Luckily it didn't rain too much after that. The boys had a great time. The loved the big jumping pillow. Kept them entertained for hours luckily for us. Jack also made some good friends who were all quite abit older but they loved looking after Jack and Will. When we came home Jack kept asking to go see his friends. Good to go in school holidays because they have all the activities on for the kids. We also had Rachael, Patrick and Adam come stay for a night. The boys had great fun playing together. Us adults had a nice night watching Bridesmaids together and eating chocolate once the boys had all gone to sleep. It was really nice. Gee it's alot of work going camping though. The packing and unpacking and the never ending work when your there but the boys do love it so we do it. I think next time we might try another park down that way that might be abit better with a pool hopefully.

The countdown is on till Christmas now. Have a busy week ahead finishing up christmas shopping. Looking forward to it though having our first christmas at home just with our little family. Can't wait to see the boys opening they're presents and enjoying our lunch together before heading over to poppy's and nanna faye's for dinner and seeing Natalie, Brad and Julia.

Well I wish everyone a lovely christmas filled with lots of love and laughter and the best for the New Year too. xxx

The people I love!

Gee it's been ages again since my last post. I feel it's been hard to get back to it for numerous reasons. We got the new laptop but I seem to lose it oh every time hubby gets home from work so that only leaves during the day which means no time to get into it. I've also felt lack of motivation to do it even though really it takes no time at all once I start. The other reason is if I don't keep little notes on what they've been saying and doing once I go to write it I can't remember. Anyway so here's my best shot.

The boys have all been good and well. Well fairly well other then all of them including me having abit of a cold at the moment. They've been keeping me on my toes as per usual and Jack and Will getting cheekier by the day.

Jack is ready for christmas already!
He saw this up in our linen cupboard and wanted to put it on.
Jack is showing lots of attitude lately with the looks (he copies me with this one) and the talking back. If you tell him he will have to go to his room if he has misbehaved he'll say well you'll have to go to your room. Or even demanding like last night said to Dad get off that computer Dad I'm going to watch my movie. I said excuse me Jack that is Daddy and Mummy's computer (he'll say no it's every ones) and you don't talk like that to Dad. I'm getting better with following through with him sitting on the stairs for the full three minutes with no talking the only problem is when Jack sits there Will won't leave him alone and it becomes abit of a game. Sometimes you only have yourself to blame because you don't realise how you talk at times and they copy you. Even one day when I picked Jack up from daycare his teacher said gee he's got a temper. She said she told him to stop doing something and he folded his arms and gave her the frowning look stamping his feet. Honestly there is too many things he gets from me as I'm the outspoken loud one in this house. It's a worry!

Jack also likes to help me like pushing the pram and he'll say I want to be your hero. So sweet! I'll say you are my hero darling.

He's getting really good with talking in conversation now and able to discuss different things. Yesterday we were talking about people getting old he asked if I'm getting old and what happens. He said then you go to heaven. I said yes everyone gets old and then will die and go to heaven. He said will you I said yes. He said will I, I said yes but you've got a long, long, long, long time till then and so goes Mummy. He asked what happens when people get old. I said people get old and their bodies just stop working the way they did when they were younger. Anyway it the first real conversation we've had about something like this. Actually when I was down staying at Kim's on the weekend and the boys rang to say hello we were on the phone for ages talking to Jack. Kim said that's the longest she's ever spoken to him.

What else with Jack. He is now going to the toilet really well no problems with the number two anymore thank god.

He is the oldest but the one that wakes some nights and will come down to me. He also only last night before he came down to me he went into Lucas's room to find his dummy but didn't find it. Then when he woke again this morning went in there luckily Lucas was already awake. Will is now reaching the door handles so he went into Lucas the other day but Lucas hadn't gone to sleep yet.

He's been getting really good with riding his big boy bike. We took the boys down the park couple of weekends ago. Ben took the bike trailer and we took the boys bikes. Had to take two cars down just to take it all. The boys had fun riding in the trailer and Jack had a ride of his bike. He went really well. It's hard where we live because it's so hilly everywhere so he can only ride it if we take it down the park.

I'm in the kitchen and Jack just came in and said I'm a big boy like Adam. We had Aunty Rachael, Uncle Patrick and Adam stay on Sunday night just passed and the boys absolutely loved having them here and playing with Adam. Jack loves his big cousin. Often different things he has he'll say is this Adams because Rachael has given him so many of his things.

Will eating his porridge!
Will is also getting much better with his talking. Yesterday we were driving to pick up Jack from preschool and Will said Jack isn't talking to me Mum and I said that's because he isn't in the car. He then said it again so I said why he said cause.
I was singing last week and he said stop that Mummy. I said don't you like my singing he said no. Nothing like a child to put you back in your place.

Will is very funny about noise. He'll say all the time what's that noise or that's noisy. He's sensitive to alot of things but I don't think it's unusual that one of them would be as I have always been a very sensitive person to alot of things as is Ben to some things.

Apparently Will only loves Daddy too. Firstly Jack and I were saying to Will Do you love Mummy he said yes,  do you love Jack yes, do you love Daddy yes then do you love Lucas no. He is not fond of Lucas at all. Hopefully improves as they get older. But then when you asked him after this he said no to everyone he just says no I love Daddy! Excuse me Daddy can start changing your nappies, bathing you & doing everything else then. Jack is more of Mummies boy and Will is a Daddy's boy. It is sweet though Daddy likes it I think.

Ben was asleep and Will was in our room playing quietly whilst
I was in the kitchen. I then went to check on Will and found him
asleep.
Jack and Will are playing better and better together although still fighting over things and hit each other. Don't think this one will change for a very long time. They are playing more make believe games now as Jack gets older and is able to make up things and bring Will along. Jack has just asked me to put the light on in the garage to play in my car because he is going to school with Daddy and he is Adam.

The other night they were wrestling and it was so funny watching Will. He runs really funny and just jumps on Jack and Jack was laughing his head off. We say Will is going to be a wrestler while Jack is the boxer.

What can I say my sweet sweet angel who doesn't like vegies!
Lucas said Dadda for the first time on Wednesday. He had just woken up when I was getting him up and he said it. Excuse me but why is it not Mummy who does everything for him. Anyway very cute I rang Ben to tell him. He heard it for the first time this morning. Lucas is also going to crawl any day now I reckon. He's been getting on all fours for weeks now rocking back and forth and he'll pull one leg forward before falling.
He's also sleeping through pretty much now which is great. Still wakes once a night sometimes. As I said it's Jack that wakes me mostly. That first child you don't know what you are doing so they get into bad habits. Lucas is just a beautiful happy baby love him to bits as I do all of my boys.

So what about me. Well it was my 31st birthday on Tuesday. I was lucky enough to go to Sydney on Saturday for the night just with Lucas while Ben looked after Jack and Will. It was a mad dash just trying to get down there in time for my hair appointment my sister Kim had organised in Darlinghurst which was lovely. Really enjoyed the head massage could have sat there all day. Having a champagne went down really well too. Then had a nice lunch in a cafe nearby before heading back to Kim's with my other sister Lisa arriving a little later. We enjoyed a few or more glasses of champagne, a yummy Thai dinner (even though Kim only had it the night before) before trying to get to bed at a reasonable hour for me 12:30am. Had the best night just chatting, laughing, even some tears just a really nice girly night with my two favourite ladies. My sister Lisa is so funny she cracks us up.
Then enjoyed some fish and chips in the park the next day with my Mum and Dad for fathers day which was lovely even it is was a rush because it was too windy. Haven't spent Father's day with my Dad for a long time. The drive home was horrible. Took two hours to get from Kim's to the freeway so three hours in total and I was really tired. Lets just say I was glad to finally make it home.

My two sisters. You couldn't ask for two
more caring, loving, beautiful people.
Had a lovely birthday night receiving flowers, champagne and Ben cooked me a really nice dinner then we had a chocolate mud cake after which the boys enjoyed singing then digging into CHOCOLATE their favourite.

I always surprise myself when I say it's hard to remember things then once I start typing it all flows out. Although there are always things that have been funny the boys have said or done that I forget and I really want this blog be a way for me to remember them and for them to be able to read it one day so once again I must keep jotting my notes. Until next time.....

Funny little boys!

I actually started this post a month ago and haven't gotten back to completing it till now. I was really sick with tonsilitis which threw me for six and then just getting back on top of things. Also since my laptop died it's been hard to find the time because when Ben gets home takes the computer as i've 'had it all day' but don't find the time in the day for some reason. Since starting this post we've had different outings to parks and the boys spent a night away staying with their Aunty Natalie. It was the first night away for me from Will other then when I spent the nights in hospital when I had Lucas. I really did miss them it was so quiet here without them. You would think I'd have relished the quiet but I found it really strange. I think because they were so far away and I was worried how they'd go sleeping without me there. Even though I knew they'd be fine. I did enjoy being able to go back to sleep until 8am after waking early with Lucas and getting dressed was nice. Ben and I had a nice lunch on the water at Terrigal. Gee life is so much easier with one baby. Oh well one day we will be able to go out to lunch or dinner again when the boys are older.

Ben and Lucas out to lunch in Terrigal.

So mostly below is from a month ago other then one thing I added about Will.

I was sitting down to dinner with Jack and Will. Jack said if he eats all his dinner he'll grow up bigger and bigger and stronger and stronger like Mummy and Daddy. Then he started saying how I grew bigger and I was a little baby like him in Grandmas belly. We have been discussing alot the past week about him and the boys growing in my belly and about Mum and Dad growing in Grandmas and Nanna's. I said yes I was in Grandmas's belly. He then said but Aunty Kimmy wasn't. (He said this because we were talking about earlier today everyone and I said Aunty Kimmy hasn't had a baby in her tummy yet). I said yes she was and Aunty Lisa and their my sisters because we all grew in Grandmas belly. I said just like you, Will and Lucas all grew in Mummy's tummy and you have the same Mummy and Daddy so you are brothers. He then sat there for a minute thinking then said I love you and I'm your boy! He melts my heart sometimes.

Me and my gorgeous boy Jack!

I mentioned in a previous post how I think Jack would like to be a baby a little longer. Well Jack keeps saying he wants to still be my baby. He just can't help himself and keeps stealing Lucas's dummy it's become a real problem and poor little Lucas often has to go without because Jack will just steal it. We even brought a clip to attach it to Lucas but he just pulls it off. I even caught him just having a quick suck whilst it was still attached to Lucas. He has an addiction. Today he even wanted to eat Lucas's food apple pureed. It does taste nice I suppose but he just likes to act like a baby still. I wonder how much having two brothers so close and him having to grow up abit quicker plays a part. Anyway we just have to keep saying Jack your not a baby your a big boy.

This is where I found Jack asleep after stealing Lucas's dummy.

Will is so funny when he asks something or you say don't do that will he says OK. I think you have to hear him say it but he says it so cute. Jack and Will were having a bath and I popped down stairs for  minute then heard Will crying so went up there and said what's happening. Jack says I didn't do anything. I didn't actually witness anything so I just say both of you keep your hands to yourself. I decided to just stand outside the door and I was watching just around the corner. Will hadn't noticed me there. He then started to cry so I popped around the corner and said what's wrong. Will says Jack hit me and I said no he didn't I was watching. Will then starts laughing. What a cheeky little bugger. He's worked out he can get Jack into trouble if we aren't watching. Not sure who I'll believe now.

Cheeky Will!
This is something that happened the other day with Will. I picked him up from daycare and I was putting him into the car. I said something or other and called him pumpkin pie and he said I'm not pumpkin pie I'm chicken. It was quite funny. I told Jack when we picked him up and we all had a good laugh. I've been calling him chicken now.

Will dressed in Lucas's tshirt and slippers.

Lucas has just started to find his feet. He has been teething and has been abit unsettled. Not sure how much the amber beads help but I think it's worth a try. I'm not used to him crying a whole lot because he really hasn't much in the last 5mths lucky for me. He's also started being able to roll over back and forth an swivel around so one minute I look and he's somewhere then the next he's moved over the other side of the room. I do not think it will be long till this little boy is crawling.

You can see he can not wait to be chasing around with his brothers. He loves to watch them. He seems to really love Jack. I reckon because Jack spent so much time up close with him since he was born smelling him and pinching etc but Lucas never seemed bothered by it I think he just liked his attention. Tonight Lucas was lying on our bed whilst I changed him and Jack was sitting on there with us. Jack was talking to him and saying "what is that face I will have to take that worm off you",  he then pretended to grab a worm from his nose and throw it. He then said "and are you good. And your little nose and mouth and hands. Are you good". He said he was the Dr.

Lucas loves having a bath with the two brothers he adores!

How beautiful is Jack here.

It's so funny listening to Jack now the little things he makes up. His imagination is well and truely working now. He makes up funny names for things. The other morning he was saying the poximation is outside. I said what he said the poximation it's a monster. Ok! He comes up with the funnist names for things. Alot of them start with the letter T for some reason.

Jack finally did a poo on the toilet after so long of trying to convince him so he got a new big boys bike.

As for what I'm up to at the moment I'm trying to start going through different things and having abit of a clean out. Today I started with the boys toys in the loungeroom. I'm going to try to work on one room each thursday. I want to try and get rid of some things so when we move we haven't got as much stuff. Also wanted to do the toys because they have TOO much and they just end up everywhere. They just don't need as much as they have. There's alot of junky stuff though too just little bits and pieces so I've put alot of them into a box. I want to get rid of stuff before they get anything more at xmas so now is as good a time as any. Not much else happening just trying to save save save so no big outings or buying anything. Really like to be able to move before the end of the year. Desperate for a backyard for the boys.

They definately need a backyard they can tinker around in. Here they are fixing Jack's 'motorbike'.
So that is what I'd started a month ago and just didn't get back to finish and add some pics. Now I have lots of pics since then so I might just add a few extras. I hope to get back into writing regular posts again especially since we get our new laptop next week but I do think there will be a bit of a fight for the new one. I really find it hard typing on this one it's so small. Anyway better go Will is getting up to mischief whilst i'm distracted.

A weekend outing to Blacksmiths Reserve.
